February 7, 2024. When Carnival arrives, Cádiz becomes the epicenter of attention, and social media fills with images filled with joy, costumes, comparsas, choirs, chirigotas, quartets, and tanguillos from Cádiz. Part of this artistic expression, so deeply rooted in Cádiz culture, has its origins in the Duende flamenco, and in the singers' ability to fill the stage with their mere presence.
A Duende that some also relate to the tangos that came from Cuba, and that in Cádiz were transformed into tanguillos full of Cádiz grace, and with a more mischievous and satirical tone, still very present in Carnival.
That's why the hotel with the most Duende de Casual (Casual Duende) wanted to join the Cádiz Carnival experience, offering its guests an authentic carnival experience in the historic city center, where the hotel is located.
There, guests staying at the hotel from February 8th to 18th will find a carnival costume to personalize their look with a touch of Duende, and will be able to tour the city's most iconic locations with it, experiencing firsthand this festival, declared a Site of Cultural Interest by Andalusian Historical Heritage.
In addition, they will have the opportunity to participate in a fun raffle by posting a photo on their social media accounts of themselves in costume at a popular location in Cádiz. The image must be accompanied by the hashtag #CarnavalConDuende and the @casualhoteles account must be tagged.
At the end of Carnival, the well-known hotel, which enjoys a privileged location in the historic center of Cádiz, will publish the name of the winner on its Instagram profile, who will receive as a prize the opportunity to stay (1 night for 2 people on a bed and breakfast basis) again at Casual con Duende Cádiz throughout 2024 so that they can experience the wonderful possibilities that the Tacita de Plata offers throughout the year.
