Casual Hoteles boosts its CSR with the creation of a Sustainability Department

As of June 19, 2023, the Casual Hoteles chain has always been mindful of the importance of sustainability, accrediting all its establishments with environmental certifications such as Ecostars, and incorporating ecological measures that respect our environment, such as ozonizing the hotel's water, among others.
Taking advantage of the company's 10th anniversary , the group founded by Juan Carlos Sanjuán has decided to boost its Corporate Social Responsibility policies by creating a Sustainability Department .
The decisions of this newly created area will affect all departments in the chain, as the areas where the company seeks to become more sustainable are economic, social, and environmental.
According to Juan Carlos Sanjuán , “ the true shift we all want toward sustainability comes when all areas of the company are imbued with this efficient and environmental vision. And that's what we aim to achieve by creating this new Casual Hoteles Sustainability Department. All decisions regarding the economy, governance, talent management, communications, and, of course, the group's strategy and expansion are made with a sustainable focus in mind, and even the mission and vision of Casual Hoteles are reviewed to align with it .”
Furthermore, he explains, “ the most ambitious thing is that we want to bring this social awareness to our entire ecosystem, including our employees, our clients, and the companies we collaborate with. We seek to lead our entire environment to be and think about sustainability. The younger generations are very clear about this and demand it. They want us to show them that we are committed to society, to our planet, and that is what we will continue to do .”
On the environmental front, he concludes, " We want to review all our energy, water, and waste management policies, with the goal of progressively and maximally reducing our carbon footprint. This challenge also aims to raise awareness among everyone who, directly or indirectly, is part of the Casual Hoteles project and family ."
