Casual Hotels opts for ecological cleaning

Following the recent acquisition of the Ecostars hotel sustainability certificate by all its establishments, the Casual Hoteles thematic chain has continued its commitment to sustainability with the implementation of a pilot water ozonation project at the Casual del Teatro Madrid hotel.
Following the success of this test, the Valencian chain plans to install it in all its hotels within a maximum period of two months , something that has been highly valued by the Hotel and Tourism Business Association of the Valencian Community ( HOSBEC ), a region in which Casual Hoteles has 7 of its 23 establishments .
Thus, according to Nuria Montes , Secretary General of Hosbec, “ HOSBEC, through its Health Services, is very interested in the practical application of this technology from the company Eco Advance, which fits into the sustainability strategies for reducing waste and packaging for the hotel sector. Therefore, it will actively collaborate with Casual Hoteles and all associated establishments that implement this technology in the study of its practical uses, within the framework of health, food, water safety, and occupational risk prevention regulations.”
For his part, Juan Carlos Sanjuán , president of Casual Hoteles , “this initiative is part of our firm commitment to sustainability and is the result of our obsession with driving innovation within the hotel industry. Our goal is to always stay ahead of technological advances like this one, which allows us to offer a higher-quality, safer product, while avoiding potential occupational hazards for our employees by eliminating chemicals .”
What is water ozonation and what are its advantages in the hospitality industry?
Water ozonation is a system that disinfects 293 times more effectively than bleach. Ozone disinfects the water , which is then used to clean all types of areas and surfaces: from furniture, floors, and glass in rooms to kitchens and bathrooms, among many other areas.
In addition to being environmentally friendly and containing no chemical additives, this system, installed by Eco Advance at Casual Hoteles, offers greater cleaning and disinfection benefits than traditional cleaning products .
